Nigel Gray, the Grammy Award-winning producer who produced The Police's first three albums from his Leatherhead studio has died. Dr Gray, who died on July 30, recorded The Police albums Outlandos d'Amour, Reggatta de Blanc, and Zenyatta Mondatta between 1977 and 1981. He worked out of the Surrey Sound Studio at Kingston Road, Leatherhead which he converted from the old village hall in 1974 for £1,200.
