M23 closed due to serious accident as smart car hits central...

The M23 was closed in both directions this morning after a serious accident. Sussex Police closed the motorway near to junction 11 for Pease Pottage after a smart car crashed into the central reservation barrier at around 8.15am. The driver was originally believed to have sustained serious injuries but after initially being alerted to attend the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was stood down.
