LIVE: Explosion heard as A23 is closed north of Merstham

The A23 is closed at Hooley due to a car transporter fire. The vehicle on fire is a car transporter lorry and witnesses report hearing an explosion as the vehicle burned. Drivers on the A23 between Surrey and Croydon are reporting long delays in both directions and London Fire Brigade crews are on the scene at the moment.
