Tempratures in East Surrey have hit more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon (Wednesday, June 21) and are likely to rise further as the afternoon wears on.The mercury had soared to 93F (33.7C) by 3.20pm at Reigate Grammar School's automatic weather station and was nudging up every few minutes.Weatherman Ian Currie, who keeps a weather station at both Chipstead Valley and Coulsdon, said that this week had seen the longest June heatwave since 1976.
