New powers proposed to tackle dog poo problems in Dorking park

Strict new rules are being proposed for Dorking's Meadowbank park, including measures to tackle the drinking of alcohol and dog fouling issues.An online public consultation, which will run until August 18, has started on whether or not a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) should be introduced.The PSPO will give police powers to stop the drinking of alcohol in the park as well as introduce a dog-control zone, within which it will be an offence to not pick up dog faeces.
