Fifteen years ago, a night of 16-player Halo required lugging gigantic televisions up flights of stairs with skinny teenaged arms, setting four of them up in different corners of a room, persuading three pals to bring their Xboxes over, and connecting them with cables. (Illicit cans of cheap booze were also involved.) These Halo parties were a memorable part of my years growing up:
