Man accused of murdering Caterham nurse deemed fit to stand trial

A man accused of stabbing a Caterham mental health nurse to death has been declared fit to plea and stand trial.Jimi Jedson, 40, is charged with the muder of Patrick Clarke at the Southleigh Community Hospital in Brighton Road, South Croydon on May 13. Mr Clarke was a nurse at the 25-bed facility for people with complex mental health problems.At the Old Bailey on Thursday, Nicholas Hilliard, The Recorder of London who is presiding over the case, set a two-week trial to begin on March 27.
